Flinders University Exclusive Offer for New Switch Residents - Semester 2, 2025 Value of Promotion:
A rent credit to the value of $2,000.00 will be provided to any new Flinders international student who books a 12-month contract to live at The Switch.
Promotion is available to the first 25 eligible Flinders University students.
Eligible Entrants: Must be 18 years of age or older during the Promotional Period and be a new resident at The Switch Adelaide Central. Eligible participants will have their new contract ending not before July 2026.
Number of entries permitted: Limited to one residential tenancy agreement per entrant. Offer Terms and Conditions:
1. PROMOTION
(a) General
i. Flinders University and The Switch, Adelaide Central, agree to jointly collaborate to deliver a promotion available to students who meet all the following Eligibility Criteria:
A. are full fee-paying international students of any nationality holding a Sub Class 500 Student Visa only (Australian citizens and Australian Permanent Residents and other non-student visa holders are ineligible to apply);
B. are commencing their course/s at Flinders University for Semester 2, 2025 intake, excluding packaged and pathway courses;
C. accept their Semester 2, 2025 Flinders University offer no later than 8 August 2025. The full Semester 2, 2025 fees must be paid by 8 August 2025;
D. maintain full time enrollment status at Flinders throughout Semester 2, 2025 up to and including the census date of 29 August 2025;
E. enter into a residential tenancy agreement with The Switch by no later than 17:00 Friday 15 August 2025, which residential tenancy is for a period of 12 months or longer and commences no later than 15 August 2025;
F. provide The Switch with a completed accommodation application and have paid any required deposit amount as specified by The Switch, Adelaide Central;
G. have not previously entered into a residential tenancy agreement with The Switch;
H. provide The Switch with a valid and current Flinders confirmation of enrolment letter for Semester 2 of 2025;
I. are not an employee or director of The Switch or a close relative of an employee or director of The Switch or COR Partners; and
J. who are over the age of 18, or if they are under the age of 18, have the consent of their parent or guardian.
ii. A student who satisfies the Eligibility Criteria will be entitled to a promotion incentive of a $2,000 AUD (including GST) rent credit to be paid to the student by The Switch, subject to clause 1(b) below.
iii. Promotion is available to the first 25 eligible Flinders University students. (b) Confirmation and Reimbursement of Incentive:
i. Provided that a student has maintained their residential tenancy at The Switch for at least 50 weeks’ and otherwise continued to satisfy the Eligibility Criteria, The Switch must pay the student the Incentive prior to the conclusion of 52 weeks’ from the commencement of the student’s residential tenancy agreement with The Switch.
ii. The Switch will apply the $2,000 AUD payment as a rent credit to the final three four weeks of the Residential Tenancy Agreement at The Switch.
2. OFFER TERMS & CONDITIONS:
A. Nothing in these conditions of entry limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify any statutory consumer guarantees or any implied condition or warranty the exclusion of which from these terms and conditions would contravene any statute or cause any part of these terms and conditions to be void (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Subject to the limitations in the preceding sentence, the Promoter excludes from these terms and conditions all conditions, warranties and terms implied by statute, general law or custom. Except for liability in relation to a Non Excludable Guarantee, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability whether arising in tort (including without limitation negligence), contract or otherwise, for any personal injury or any other loss or damage (including without limitation loss of opportunity or loss of profits); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, without limitation, the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any tax implications; (e) any variation in reward value to that stated in these terms and conditions; (f) any tax liability incurred by a successful entrant and/or (g) a promotion or use of a promotion.
B. The promotion and these terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of South Australia and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
C. The Promoter collects personal information to conduct the promotion. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter will also use the information for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes. The Promoter’s privacy policy contains information about how to access, update or correct entrant’s personal information, how to make a complaint about a potential breach of privacy and how the Promoter will deal with such a complaint. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
D. Successful entrant will be notified via email on day of or next business day thereafter via email .
E. In the event that any entrants cancel the booking or otherwise terminates the residential tenancy agreement prior to the start of the agreement, or at any time during the tenancy, then such entrant’s entitlement to participate shall cease.
F. In the event that any entrant claims the promotion and then fails to complete entirety of the contract the value of the promotion must be paid back to The Promoter.
G. In the event that any entrants are in rent arrears then such entrant’s entitlement to participate shall cease.
H. Promotion is available to the first 25 eligible entrants only.
I. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Instagram or any other social network platform and each entrant releases these entities from any liability associated with this promotion
J. The Promoter is: COR Partners Ltd Pty (Trading as The Switch), ACN 633 003 095 whose registered office is at L38, Tower 3, International Towers Sydney, 300 Barangaroo Avenue, New South Wales, Australia (Promoter), in collaboration with Flinders University, ABN 65 542 596 200, located at Sturt Road, Bedford Park SA 5042.
K. Flinders University are providing the $2,000 AUD Bursary per eligible Flinders University entrant/student to The Switch, who will in turn apply the $2,000 AUD as a rent credit to eligible students, at the conclusion (last three to four weeks’) of their residential tenancy agreement at The Switch, Adelaide Central.
